Evans is a brilliant store that carries fresh, fashionable and affordable plus size clothes, as well as accessories, lingerie, jewellery and swimwear. You can find anything from edgy styles to lovely tailored items for work. They also have a great range of shoes in different widths for the perfect fit.
The sizes range from 14 to 32 and they are roughly the same as your Australian size - but remember you must always consult each store's individual size guide! Postage from Evans is just 7.50 pounds, which is roughly $12.50 Aussie dollars and shipping is from 5-7 working days.
As the United Kingdom is coming to the end of their winter, check out the sale items because coats like these are heavily reduced. Plus, the Australian dollar is quite strong at the moment, so you're getting more bang for your buck.
I am absolutely thrilled with these coats. They are fully lined, thick and soft. The sizing was spot on and they feel sturdy and well made. Together, including postage, they cost me just over $110. Considering you'd have to fork out about $200 for one coat similar to these, it's a good buy. Now, I'm all sorted for winter! Bring on the chilly weather!
This is the Pink Peter Pan Swing Coat. It was reduced to 25 pounds, about $41 Australian Dollars...
This is the Beige Funnel Coat, reduced to 35 pounds, about $58 Australian dollars...
Please let me know if you've scored some fab online finds so we can share them with the world!
Love this blogspot! I also love Evans too, I bought the coolest blazer from them that was fully lined like the coats you mention. I love that their clothes are very well made and tailored. I'm also thinking about buying a coat for the winter now, while the prices are going down. Like that Beige Funnel Coat, i'm definitely going to check it out.
ReplyDeleteHey! Thanks so much for checking out my blog! Evans is definitely one of my favourites. They seem to understand that bigger girls want to wear the same on-trend styles as our smaller counterparts. I've checked out a few US stores too, I love Forever 21 too. I think I'll be making some purchases from there soon. Looking forward to staying in touch (hopefully!), I've got a lot to learn and I'm absolutely loving your blog. The styling is just beautiful. So are you gals by the way!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous coats Nikki! What a bargain!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see a picture of you in the coats, especially the swing coat. I bought one that I love, but I am afraid it makes me look pregnant when I wear it closed- perhaps you have a more stylish and slimming method?
ReplyDeleteAlso, have you discovered Avenue and Torrid? They're plus-size stores here in the Sates, and they have some really fantastic stuff on their websites!
Keep up the good work!

Hey thousand frogs, thanks so much for your comment! I've got a pic of me in the pink coat, I'll be sure to post it soon! But yes, it has the potential to make me look a bit pregnant - occupational hazard at my size - but it was still cute. I found if I wear slim fitting jeans underneath it makes the look a bit sleeker. The beige one is an absolute dream, really flattering. Thanks for the tips on those US sites, I'll definitely check them out. More and more US places are doing international shipping, and you guys have SO much more choice than us here! Loving your blog BTW. Maybe when you find a nice boy you can see if he has an older brother for me.... hehehee!!!
ReplyDeleteOoo, I love both of those jackets. I LOVE Evans, but I haven't gotten anything from them since I lived in England - international shipping stinks!
ReplyDeleteI am having a giveaway with alight.com on my blog - you should enter!

There a loads of UK Plus Size shops, Dorothy Perkins goes up to size 22 I think, and New Look is another good one. Marks & Spencer also have some nice staple pieces, often the shipping plus exchange rate actually work out cheaper than buying in Australia!
ReplyDeleteHey Modestkini and Gin n Peach, thanks for checking out my little blog!
ReplyDeleteThose are great tips for UK websites, I haven't checked them out yet, so that's what I'm going to be doing later!
You're so right about it being cheaper, even with shipping. I've found the quality of UK clothes to be much better too. And I love how you can actually get fashionable, young clothes in plus sizes - not nanna stuff!
